    Innit Dough Margate - new delivery service of handmade fresh pasta, starting 15 May. All pasta is prepared the morning of the day of delivery and dropped to your door contact-free. £5.50 for one person including local delivery or £9.50 for two people including delivery.     New Street Bistro - takeaway service available on Friday and Saturday only. They will portion the food for you, cook the sauces and make the condiments, and then you can finish it off in your kitchen when it suits you.     Margate Coffee Shed - delivery service available of their house blend coffee (beans or ground, including decaf), proper tea and alternative milks in Margate, Westgate and Cliftonville.     Hot Meals Now Canteen – temporarily relocated from Margate Adult Education Centre to The Beacon in Ramsgate where they are providing a contactless delivery service of their food. Their £1 delivery charge per order goes towards a free meal for someone in need. At the moment they are delivering to the Salvation Army in Ramsgate, who are delivering free meals to the homeless that have been placed in temporary accommodation, across Thanet. The canteen also supply meals to the NHS staff working at the Beacon, and their delivery service covers, Margate, Ramsgate & Broadstairs. Click here for the menu and order form.

    The Lifeboat Project - offering free deliveries of care packages for those in isolation, including food, toiletries and entertainment (crosswords, card games etc.).     A group of residents in Broadstairs is offering free help for anyone who is over 70, vulnerable, has no other support and lives in the Broadstairs area. They can collect shopping and medicine and deliver to you with no physical contact. You can also call them for a chat if you are feeling lonely, isolated or worried.   • Activities for kids and young people

    Lizzie Prince - offering online creative dance classes for children of all ages. The classes are every Thursday, 10.30am to 11.15am and it's pay-what-you-can. All donations will go to a local food delivery service for vulnerable people.     GRASS `Cliftonville has launched a kids colouring competition. Simply download and print the page off for colouring and then post a picture of your masterpiece on social media for your chance to win. The competition closes on 1 May. Learn more here.

     

    Arts Education Exchange has collaborated with local artists Alex Noble, Jordan Gray and Sprankenstein to create illustration briefs written specifically for young people during lockdown, poster templates and an 'artist remix' activity, a chance to reconfigure elements of an artwork by a local artist.     Lilliput Road has introduced a package to help parents who are now working from home. The package is three and a half hours long at their premises. You can work using their free WiFi whilst your child plays, supervised by a qualified team member. Contact them via Facebook or Instagram to find out more and book.

    The St Austine and St Gregory's Church Food Parcels Service desperately need basic tinned food items like baked beans, tomatoes etc., and packet soups, tea, coffee, sugar, cereals and fresh fruit and vegetables. The food is for people who use their service, which include homeless people and those on benefits. Any donations are very welcome. They are open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 1pm. Their address is 38 Charlotte Place, Margate, CT9 1LP.

     

    Margate Scrubbers is looking for tailors, seamstresses and sewing folk to sew 250 pairs of scrubs for the NHS. They will provide cloth and can also cut them out. Click here to join the group and contact them.
